Here are some SRAM part numbers for Steerer/Crown/Stantion assemblies I found. Parts are listed for Reba Dual Air Motion Control/Blackbox Motion Control. Numbers found in 2010 Rockshox Spare Parts Manual which can be downloaded from the SRAM site. Part numbers in Bold. Compatible with MY 09-10 Reba's only. May help if you want to convert to a tapered steerer such as on the RIP 9.

Thanks!

Nice to have the actual part numbers! I talked with a SRAM Technical Service guy a few days ago and he told me that a the TAPERED versions are available NOW. Your LBS will have to order it straight from SRAM and NOT a distributor like QBP, etc. I did not ask what the cost was.

I saw a lot of posts on tapered vs non tapered and started digging. Kinda wondering myself as I'm gonna be building a RIP soon too! (Can't Wait!!!) I ended up going with the Reba Team 120 with Maxle, standard steerer though.
It would be interesting to see pricing. I know the fox steerers (standard) were around 200 for the whole assembly. I guess we shall see.....

Anyone actually had any luck going this path??
I am needing a tapered fork for a new build within the next month or so and am thinking that if the new tapered forks are not out I will buy a used or cheap 2009 and fit a new assembly.

SRAM site talks about tapered as an option on their forks but I still dont see any in the shops or online.

Bike Bling had a couple tapered steerer forks on the wall last weekend. I think they had a Marz 140mm and a Fox 120mm.
I'll try and see if I can get pricing from Rockshox on the tapered steerers. I remember reading somewhere they were around $150 or so.

Update:

Called and spoke to a Rockshox rep the other day regarding replacement CSU (Crown, steerer, upper tubes) pricing. Ready for this?

:eekster: $275-300 for Tapered CSU assembly for my Reba Team! Is it just me or does that seem a bit much just to go tapered? :skep:

Good thing to know these codes...

But prices are quite high.

I own a Reba Team 29er MY 2009 and wish to change the upper assembly to make the steerer higher. I heard that the upper assembly is the same for a 26er and a 29er fork. Legs differ.
Is this the case? because if it is one might get a used 26er fork for much less than a new upper assembly from Sram...

Please verify the info if U know...
