I was surprised not to run into anyone out there today. It was pretty windy but still rideable. After riding around S-line then hitting the wash gap a few times Nick and I headed down to the bottom of the pit. Nick was ready to boost! haha, he went for the big step down into the pit again and came up a little short and landed on the edge of a sharp rock at the top of the landing. He thought he got away with just a pinch flat.... nope, his wheel is completely destroyed! 8 broken spokes, 2 huge dents, and several cracks, this was his second ride ever on that wheelset, what a great way to start off 2010! hahaha. At least he rolled out of it and didn't get ejected upon impact!

bammm...
BTW if a mod is reading the 2009 thread can be locked now . Thanks
another fine year ahead of us :D

Now bring us some rain Damn it !
a little duct tape and that wheel is good to go
This is getting hella confusing. What happened to the 2009 thread?

WTF?
Its old has almost 1000 posts which at that point it will start bogging big time as the folks here at MTBR haven't implimented the option on these forums that makes large threads split on their own .

Many other large forums have a thread spliter that automatically split the treads to maintain performance. Each split thread has a link to the prior portion therefore you don;t lose prior content to the pages of history.

MTBR needs to get with the times and stop sucking so bad.
MTBR needs to stay just like it is... Oldskool. Amen to not having to scroll thru 10 pages of 2009. New thread - that's easy.

Hey Clockwork... How 'bout a nice set of rules and code of conduct posted here at the top of the first page to start it off right....?

Anyone headed out tomorrow? I'd like to bring the big camera and get some super ill shots for the new thread.
I plan to be out tomorrow . Had kid duties today.

Will get that write up done asap .
I am planning on heading out there. I need to get my monster truck on! what time? and do you still want water brought out? i could probbbly bring a jug.
I may be in for an all day session with video cam and cam.
2010 Unoffical Nra Guidelines

2010 UNOFFICIAL NRA GUIDELINES

For you old school regulars you already know whats up this is for new comers and new riders.

1. Respect the hard work that has gone into making NRA a very unique area to build ones jumping skills. If it wasn't for the hard work of these people you wouldn't have anything to ride. If you damage a feature fix it . Use the water from your camelbak if you need but don't expect the builders to clean up after you.

2. BE SAFE NRA is a unique area living on borrowed time... It is in our best interest to keep things clean and to stay safe . All it takes is one broken neck and a heli ride out to shorten the time we have left out there. There is still hope but that is in our hands as a community to self police ourselves. So far over the last few years the incidents have been minimal and only concerning building and TRASH not safety.

3.NO rouge building in or around the pit this is a big no no with the Forest Service.Be happy with what we have or go build on another mt. It is no fun tearing stuff down others built in order to appease the Forest service gods.

4. Pack out your TRASH! and if you see trash laying around pack it out also . Help us keep NRA clean.

5. Please keep skidding to a minimal as the berms are built to maintain speed and skidding cause's major wear that is hard to fix.

6. DO NOT MOD existing features to suit your needs. If you did not put in the HARD WORK to build it don't alter it.Simple as that . Fixing your damage or another's is the only approved work you can perform on a jump.

7. If you see the builders working offer a hand . They may or may not need the help but the thought counts. If there are going to be build/maintains days they will not be posted here .The regulars will know and find out at the pit .

8. Most important have fun , be safe and respect the years of work that has gone into the nra riding experience. Please no posting INTERNET directions lets keep it to people who ride local with locals .

Very nice work there bro.

The first two rules of fight club apply for posting directions on the internet.
Is it just me or was that the fastest year ever? Seems like we just started the '09 thread...
Indeed it was. Glad its over.
So who in for today?
i was just about to head out. hope to see you all up there
On eother thing I have found is that Trail Gnomes, you know the ones the build/ maintain out there enjoy Heinekin or pretty much any other beer. They always enjoy offerings.

And dang aren't those outlaws supposed to be wicked strong wheels?
