2010 Fuel EX cranks/BB

Do the new Fuel Ex's use the BB30 standard? Specifically the EX7? Is it running spacers to accept a standard crank? It's spec'd with a deore crankset, so I would assume that's the case.

If that is so, I assume the crankset and bb could be upgraded to a BB30 model?

All the 2010 frames are using the press BB. It's just like installing a headset. The EX 7 will have a press BB so I would only bother upgrading the crankset and not the BB
I don't know if you can use a BB30 in the FuelEx line as the bottom bracket using Trek's BB90 standard and the BB shell width is 89.5mm wide. The BB shell width in the BB30 standard is 68mm. You are unfortunately stuck with wider cranks meant to be used with external cups BB's from my understanding.

Well, that's okay then... Because all the BB30 cranks I've seen so far have been 400 bucks or more.
I found this info on the detailed spec sheet from our dealer site:

EX9 - BB SHM BB91 PRS FIT MTB - BB 86 / 92 w/PRESSFIT CUPS / 41mm CUP OD
EX8 - BB SHM BB91 PRS FIT MTB - BB 86 / 92 w/PRESSFIT CUPS / 41mm CUP OD
EX7 - BB SHM BB91 PRS FIT MTB - PRESS FIT CUPS FOR BB 86 / 92
EX6 - BB SHM ES51 68X118 SPLIN ATB - ES25 68 x ???mm OCTALINK
EX5 - BB TRK 7500 10 1SZ - ES25 68 x 121mm OCTALINK

Your local Trek Dealer can help you find what you need...
