I'm looking at bikes with these two forks (specifically Epic Comp and Expert) and wanted to know the differences.

They seem to be very comparable. Rebound adjustment, lockout and pseudo-compression.

Any input on the weight difference between the two? Reliability? Performance?

I think the Fox is a better choice if you don't want to obsess over fluid levels in your fork every two or three months. Read up on the differences between open bath and semi-bath designs to see what I mean. Open bath being the Fox (I think a 2010 would still be open bath) whereas the SID is a semi-bath system.

I guess I'm saying the Fox upkeep would be potentially easier and it is a solid performer.

Does anyone know the weight of these respective forks? Is the Sid substantially lighter than the Fox?
