200x51 shock on 200x57 frame

Hi! I want to test a coil shock but no one have a 200x57 coil shock to test. Only one friend have a 200x51 shock. I realize that I will lose travel but is just a test not forever. Is there any other problem?

As you said, travel will be limited, but other than that you should be good to go.

Also check the bushing sizes between the bikes.

200x51 usually is a 200x57 in reality with a spacer inside to limit stroke. You don't have a problem. They are the same.
