Depends what bike your on we need details.
I ran the 888RC2X (200mm) on my old Bighit and it handeled fine. If you don't like the way the 05 888 feels because of its height, buy the flat crowns and you'll be good.X-Vert said:How bad with that fork kill my handling??
Sweetest upgrade you can do to your bike! Picked up a 200mm 2004 888R and it just frickin' rocks!! I can go harder and faster than ever before. I do notice some understeer on flat turns but eventually I may get some flat crowns but I'm pretty stoked.exvitermini said:i know this is a bit of a grave dig(oh nooooooooo)
but i thought it would be better to dig then start a new thread.
did you end up doing it? if so how did it go and do you have a photos?
im thinking of picking up a mates 888rc(200mm) and trying it out on my 04
Not me in the earlier pic...boogenman said:Dude you need a smaller bike!
200mm and the longer/steeper settings works better than those bikes without the adjustment but as everyone says, best would be drop crowns. Now if you go 170mm with that setting, you may be spot on.bwolmarans said:here is a picture and stuff. this was with the 2.5" stroker shock, now has 2.75" stroke shock.
our bikes are going to be twins then...bwolmarans said:here is a picture and stuff. this was with the 2.5" stroker shock, now has 2.75" stroke shock.
