2009 vs. 2010 Hope brakes

I noticed Universal Cycles (and QBP) differentiate between 2009 and 2010 versions of the Hope Tech V2s and M4s. The only visual difference I can see is the design on the reservoir cover. Are there any other differences?

Laser etching on the calipers is different. I don't believe that there are any performance-related differences.
I emailed Hope about this same thing last week. The only difference is the etching on the outside.

I like the 2009 pattern more myself.

Thank you. I don't know how I screwed that one up.

BTW, I heard from Hope. They told me the difference is that the caliper is slimmed down and slightly lighter on the 2010s.

I like the Union Jack cover a lot more than the 2010. Guess thats why there's chocolate and vanilla.

Great, so someone at Hope doesn't know what they're talking about. The email I received regarding the difference in the 2009 and 2010's, verbatim, is: "Just etching on the caps and caliper." This came from Phil Dean at Hope. Either the response I received is wrong or the one you received is wrong.

And I just ordered some 2009 Tech M4's that arrive on Tuesday.
V2

They slimmed down the weight of the caliper on the V2. the Caliper looks a lot more like the x2 caliper in that the material around the outboard piston is taken off quite a bit. The 09 V2 caliper was flush on the outboard piston.

They also made the bleed nipple a little different.
so just the v2 went on a diet or did the whole line?
hope

As far as i could see and what the Hope rep told me at interbike just the v2 went on a diet.
