I am looking at buying a rockhopper soon and do not want to break the bank anymore than I have to. I have the opportunity to buy a 2009 Comp 29er and I am curious if there would be any drawbacks to the older model other than the lack of a warranty and it being used. I'm not positive but it looks like to me that the geometry is slightly different. (I could be wrong though)
