Does anyone have any insite on the "made for specialized components?"

Juicy 7 ultimates??
X420 rims??
IF the crankset on the 2008 epic expert is XT level, why do they put a real XT on the marathon??

It seems like a lot of cover up.

I think the crankset might be last year's XT. Not sure about that, but I read it somewhere.

Juicy 7 - aluminum bars vs carbon (again, can't confirm, just read that somewhere)

Don't know about the DT rims

Sounds like a way for Specialized to get the best of these parts, but "cut some corners" to save cost.

The DT Swiss X420 is the sleeved version of the welded X4.2 rim and the Ultimate 7 uses an aluminum lever in lieu of the carbon fiber one found on the retail version of the brake.
