I'm pretty much set on getting the Eastern Nighttrain. I see that Eastern's website shows it as having Avid 3's front and rear while other websites show and list it as having Avid 3's only in the rear and brakeless up front. Anyone have this bike and can confirm which is correct.

I do think it depends on where you purchase the rig from. Also what YEAR it happens to be. Jenson's "model" was only rear, i do believe. Perhaps '09's were spec'd with both?

I'll have to see about getting the 09 model. I just noticed that the wheels are different, but the frames look the same.

I am not trying to jack your thread but I have a quick question. I was looking at the '08 thunderbird and I was curios if the '09 one will be the same price that last years model was or will it go up just as the night train went up from '07-'08. Also if it will go up is there any sites that will keep the '08 thunderbird on their site for a while?

it's going up. exactly to what i'm not sure and don't have my price list from work in front of me here at home. some sites will probably have the 08 for a bit, at least until they run out. i haven't talked to my eastern rep in a while, so i have no idea if they have any 08s on their end, but your local dealer/website should be able to find out for you.

I had an 07 Nighttrain and it did NOT have a front brake. Only an Avid Juicy rear brake. I think the 08 had an Avid Juicy 3 in the rear only.

I see that the QBP catalog also shows the nighttrain as only having a rear brake.
