This week, I tried to replace the bearings in my 2007 RacerX. But when I tried to remove the main pivot bolt, I ran into a problem. The bolt appeared to be stuck on the non-drive side. While turning the bolt, it would pry open the rear swingarm at the pivot interface. The drive side has threads in the swingarm and it was tunring, but somewhere it was stuck, so it pushed the swingarm outwards where the threads are.

I didn't dare to turn the bolt more then 1/2 revolution in fear of destroying the swingarm. What did go wrong? Or should I just have kept turning and the bolt would have popped loose?

PS: I'm not a native English speaker, so it is difficult to explain what's going on.
