Wow, that's some rather funky tubing, some nice shaping on the downtube. The carbon stays are massive compared to the current ones. Also looks like the shock linkage and mounting is lightened up over current.

I was thinking of getting an 07 Element, I cant' take racing on a ht anymore, after seeing these pictures I'm leaning more towards doing so. I main hope now is that they spec the new Shimano Dual Release triggers rather than the flippy shifters.

Marz looks like they also have some nice XC stuff for 07, I wonder if Rocky will spec more of it than now?

Got any more 07 pics?

Wow, looks like RM are pushing their designs a bit for next year. Element looks sweet.

Has anyone got any more 07 RM pics?

Particularly interested to see what the 07 ETSX and Slayer will look like - although, I suppose that as the Slayer is a new platform, no changes will happen next year.

Talking of the Slayer -which has been widely lauded as the Bike of 06 in some quarters -where are you all?????

I would really appreciate more honest posting opinons on the Salyer - most rags have been positive, but one UK mag (MBR) recently really slated the suspension performance, saying it was skippy as a 3" bike, and no amount of tuning / tweaking could sort it. Then again they are notorious for their Specalized bias - but would like to know why they disliked it so much.

I am tempted to try and get one at end of year - but finding it hard to get a decent demo ride hooked up in southern uk. Apologies for wandering off the topic.:p

I like their "tweaked" design too. The only thing I'm not sure of is  the rear shock. Why not RP3 anymore?
I doubt the first set of images you posted is of the stock build. My guess is that this bike was put together for the Marzocchi press days in Italy, thus the Marz front and rear shocks. I'm guessing the last image is of the stock build with Fox front and rear, and the stinking flippy shifters.

Also looks like the Marz test bike has already been dented on the top tube, see the first pic. I wonder how thin the walls are? My guess is quite, and the bike will be much lighter than currently.

You're right Kris. The top tube is dented indeed, didn't notice. Looking at the last pic, which is a different bike from the bike featured in the first 4 pics (different fork, different rear shock and no downtube sticker), the rear shock spec'd is most probably still the RP3.

Are you talking about the Shimano Dual Control brakes/shifters? You must be the only guy that likes those...I don't even know if Shimano is making them for 07. Go SRAM X9 or X0 and you won't look back.
I have an x-9 srivetrain on my switch and I thinks the xt is better on my slayer, when it goes on the switch (which it has once already) I will be back to Shimano (pehaps Saint?)

Supposedly RM had pretty much their full 2007 line at the Marz introduction. Here's pics of the 07 Slayer and Switch.

I just stole this pics from the Marz. introduction news item on NSMBs home page. Both look unchanged to me but the NSMB site didn't actually say that Slayer was an 07 so who knows.

It looks like the Element shots might have been from the Rocky Mountain Testcenter in
Kleinwalsertal at the kleinen Berghotel (matches the sticker on the frame), running from June 27 - 05 July (as listed on www.bikeaction.de website). I'm curious which of the female team riders were there for those shots as MHP was kicking serious butt at Mout Saint-Anne.

Sweet Bike

That is one sweet Element and like the color alot. Tubing is cool with the carbon makes it awsome to look at. I have an 04 Element50 and I love mine but yours might be nicer

I think he means the new triggers from Shimano, in which you can downshift both with your thumb or index finger (therefore "dual release").

Cheers,
Cris

Those Shimano Dual Release triggers do sound better if they're anything like the SRAM ones that let you use your thumb for everything. It's way nicer because you can be shifting with your thumb while you brake with your index finger and grab the bars with your other 3 fingers.
