This is all I was given. I asked about compoents and they are getting back to me. $400 bump in the marathon, so I hope the components were upgraded. Can't believe they would charge $400 for just the shock upgrade.

This info was provided by my LBS who I believe is at Specialized's shop right now for the demo.

MSRP on the Epic Marathon Carbon is $4900.
MSRP on the Epic Marathon M5 is $4200.
MSRP on the S-Works Epic Disc(that only comes in Carbon--really) is $6500
The frame did not change from 06. The shock was designed by Mick McAndrews, formerly of Rock Shox and Fox. He is having the best manufacturers in China make this shock. Because of the simplicity of the new design compared to the old one, I am not worried about warranty at all.

At this point, the shock is not available as an upgrade to your existing Epic but that is in the works for the future.

Yeah, we've heard that before unfortunately...

It'd be swell if it comes true, but I'm not going to hold my breath this time.
