I've searched everywhere and I can't find the answer.

I'm just looking for the seatpost size on a 2006 Slayer frame...

Thanks!

30.9mm and make sure the bottom of the seatpost extends below the top tube junction to prevent seat tube failures.
Awesome, thanks.

I'm going to put a KS 5" seatpost on... if I can find one to buy??
I have a Maverick Speedball post on my SXC, it sure helps.
30.9 may not be the correct size. I had a 19" 2006 Slayer 70 that was 30.9. I now have an 18" 2006 Slayer Canuck edition that is 31.6.

No idea why the different sizes.
I have the 2007 SXC with the 30.9mm, it would be very odd to have a different seat tube size on one series, I wonder how that would have happened.

I use a 30.9-27.2 shim, and a Thomson post

Yeah, I was shocked to say the least. Went right from the 19" to the 18", and when I swapped the post over it just sunk right down. At first I thought 'wow, that's nice and smooth', but then after not being able to tighten down the qr, I quickly realised the difference. Took out the digital calipers and sure enough, they were different. Maybe an early production model, or prototype frame? Who knows. I'd be interested to hear if any others out there have the 31.6 seat tube.

At least the guy who bought my 19" got a nice seatpost with the frame.
