I reckon I'll have to do that seeing as how it's 10 minutes from my house and all.
Sweet!

But is it in May or March??

:D GG
Sorry, busy day! It's in March!

How do I make this thread a sticky?

This event looks good - it scratches me right where I itch.
Like Old Times

I haven't been back to Athens since I graduated from UGA in 92. 1892.

What's the Heritage Park course like? I don't think it existed back then.
All up in it.

That is all.

7.5 miles of twisty singletrack. if they use the " expert" section , which they should. great
place for a race.big arena, lots of parking, bathrooms... there are usually a couple of cross country races there and a 24 hr race everyyear, in june. checkout www.southernlights24-7.com. sorba in athens has done a great job on the trails. and by the way, the trails at mitchel bridge are back in form also, you probably remember those...
What jtibb said. Yes they are going to use the expert section. If you didn't race there last year, it has changed (for the better).

There have been other changes there as well. Charlie and the guys at SORBA-Athens have been working on getting the place back in shape over the past year. If you did the '05 Southern Lights (BOD rules!), the damage from running a 24 hour MTB race during a hurricane has been repaired (It was raining sideways!).

Keep an eye on the website for updates, http://www.addictivecycles.com/singlespeed/index.html.

BTW - Can you say fixed gear class?!?
