2005 SB Fit 2.5 tires?

I think I posted something like this before. While my friends are really into their Blurs and other VPP bikes, I am still loving my SB. It's active which I love. Light enough to make climbs tolerable (I'm not a fan of climbing, but do it becuz I have to get to the top). Holds the lines I choose well. Floats on the rocks at light speed. It just makes riding fun. Anyone feel like me about their SB? Shoots, lets petition Titus and tell them they MUST keep making this frame! Its simply a crime to stop.

Now I REALLY want an '05 SB with a coil shock and the larger chainstays for 2.5 tires. It does take 2.5 tires right for '05?
The Titus website is new and the SB is not even there anymore...sob, sob, sob.

maybe they will make a motolite with switchblade geometry?
A 2.5 weirwolf and mobster will fit in a Talas SB with the freeride lowers with some room to clear.
I think the largest specified size is 2.4 but some rated 2.5's might fit given how bad manufacturers are about getting accurate measurements.
I got 2.6inch Nokians on my supermoto.

if you use the supermoto chain stay and seat stay you can fit what ever you want.
"Super-Moto comfortably clears the biggest treads you can find."

getting what you want seems like only function of money. I'm sure titus would sell you the parts you need to convert your SB or pick up an older quasi moto and interchange the parts.

The "freeride lowers" for the Switchblade is actually what is/was the Quasi-Moto lowers. The Supermoto's won't work on the Switchblade because they are not the same length. 16.65" vs 16.85". They can actually clear even larger tires too. I think it was the Supermoto lowers that were used as a stop gap solution to the tire clearance on the Moto Lite until they came out with the redesigned 06 lowers.

I seems to think that is wrong. but I learn something new every day. I've seen plenty of supermotos with the switch blade rear end. The MBA test of the supermoto had the switch blade rear. "traildude"s supermoto has the switchblade rear.

I thought,
the 0.2 difference in chain stay length ( SM vs SB vs ML) was do to the bottom bracket piviot location. the piviot is intigrated into the BB shell assembly and is rotated up on the SB and rotated to the back on the SM and ML

I found pictures that show the diferent pivot locations, between the switch and the motolight.

I don't know if its because of the pivot location but I'm pretty sure there was talk that the Switch/RacerX/Quasi lowers would not work on the ML because they were a different length.

yes I recall the same posts, I also recall the ending of those threads. Which was that they are the same. If you measure yours i2i, I'll measure mine.

And battlestar rocks.

I'll measure my Switchblades swingarm when I get home to compare.

So say we all! ;)

best I can tell my SM swing arm is 14 inches. I shoved a hex wrench into the main piviot and measured from the center of the wrench to the center of the horst bolt. and kept the tape measure parallel with the rear wheel.
I measured the i2i on my blade and it comes out to 14" 3/16 (360mm).

but there is the other post with an email from Chris C, saying that they are the same. so it is moot.
