If the 2004 Slayer uses the same shock as the 2001 and 2002 models than your shock is a 6.5" (eye to eye length) and 1.5" stroke. Why don't you just measure your stock shock and see what size it is?

Regardless, there will definately be a Vanilla R that fits and you could also likely put a newer Float RP3 on there. I think Progressive made a 5th Element in that size as well...check their site if it's still up because they have a compatability list on there which is pretty thorough.

As you have probably figured out by now it's a custom shock length. I think mine was something like 195x45. You need a custom length shock from Push or Fox.
