I've got a 2002 Trek 820. As someone who likes to tinker and customize, I wanna make some changes to it. Given that it's an old bike, and this project is just for fun, I don't wanna put too much money into it so I thought an Amazon build might be fun. May also paint it.

My question is, what budget Amazon products might yall suggest I look at, and which ones should I stay away from?

I bought a $15 80mm stem and $21 720mm riser bar (Wake brand) as a cheap way to see if I would like the seating position change from my old school 130mm stem and 20" 520mm wide bar.

My son's bike need a new bottom bracket and I've been considering this to replace the old BB and convert him to a single.
