Hello,

I'm trying to order a new front derailleur for my 2002 Hoo Koo E Koo. It came stock with a Deore that's never worked great so I want to order an LX or XT... Problem is I don't know what kind it is other than being a top pull. Is it a top or bottom swing? From what I can tell I need one that fits a 1 3/8" tube.

I couldn't find any info on the Fisher web site.

I found this one but I don't know if it's the right one?

I was just re-reading the description on the XT derailleur here: http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=4079&subcategory_ID=5110

Under Description is says "Top swing design (clamp is positioned lower than the derailleur cage)."

I'm assuming the definition of Top Swing is that the clamp is lower and Bottom Swing is that the clamp is higher than the cage...

The Deore on the bike right now has the clamp lower than the cage so it's a Top Swing and therefore the XT in the link above should work. Right?

Please chime in if I'm wrong.
