I have one and still love it, and notice guys on race day still rockin the F700. Is this bike made for the ages...? My hydraulic discs still stop on a dime, headshok still is pretty darn good...and the bike is light as hell. Anybody think a same opinion or different?

ive got an 01' F600, the year with a tattoo on the top tube. its still the best hard tail ive ever ridden. i recently made it a one speeder. Even tho i could, i wont "upgrade" to disc brakes......my XTR V-brakes are more reliable, lighter, and stop me just fine here in Florida. And it feels good when my buddies are whining about warped rotors, and stuff on the trail LOL

Oh I think V brakes do a great job...my SS 29r is rear V Brake.
