I'm looking at buying a green spring kit (x-heavy) for my "new to me" 2000 model Z1. I wanted to know if anyone can tell me what rider weight the stock springs are rated for (current models should probably be similar but I can't find those either)? The green springs are suggesting a rider weight of 195-240 and I'm right in the center of that range but I want to make sure I'm not just buying what already comes with the fork. I know its not likely but just want to make sure.

Thanks

Why not take the current springs out to see before you buy new ones? Especially if it's used, the previous owner might have changed them out. Probably originally came with the heavy spring, i.e. for the weight range below the one you're considering.

I'll probably end up doing that if noone knows. Wasn't sure they would use the same color coded springs for the stockers. The fork had never been installed before I got it so it should be original springs.

FWIW, I can you about my 2002 Z1. At 165 lbs I found the uncolored stock springs too light for me. Right now I'm running one green and one stock. Stock Marz springs tend to run pretty light.
