alan has got 2.5 on his and so has steve and yes they are built

They're big tyres, even for a 2.5" rating. I gave a pair to Alan a while back and last time I saw them they were on Steve's Chamuco. I'm fairly sure they'll fit your X5, but I've only run the 2.2" version on mine. Great tyres too.

Yes they will fit. There is not a lot of clearance but the 2.5 tyres make it feel like you have an extra inch of suspension when landing off a drop.
