I have a 2.5 Blue Groove to use as comparison and am wondering how the nevegal compares in width. Trying to see if it will fit on the rear.

It appears that the BG is a smidge wider than the Nev.

Go ahead and use the BG 2.50 width. It is within a mm of the Neve.

They are so close, I'd say decide based on tread not width, since the casing is likely the same size. I have both which I swap out as needed on the front. The BG is great for hardpack to medium-loose, the Nev is great for loose conditions. Both work on wet rocks/roots.

I measured and the nev was about 1mm narrower than the blue groove on my bike. The blue groove was on a ryno lite and the nev was on a mavic f519 though so maybe the rim width caused the tire profile to be just a little diff.
