I'm looking for previous generation RR's to the new ones with triple compound&TR. Will swap new for new or purchase.

The compounds used are unchanged.
So the only difference would be the TL ready bead? Can we assume that all th Triple star bla bla is still the same Triple Nano they have been using with a bit of marketing spin to keep up with the Jones's?

The Triple Star is a set of three different triple compound combos they use.

The PaceStar used in the RaRa is basically the same as the old TripleNano. The "fast" combo.

TrailStar for more "all mountain" type use.

VertStar for gravity (DH)

The compounds used in each are significantly different.

Thanks for the breakdown Shiggy- I forgot there was Tripple star and pace star...

So would you be aware of any sidewall difference on the 2010 snakeskin VS 2011 Snakeskin TL any difference or is it just the bead? These would specifically be a 2010 NN Snakeskin triple nano VS 2011 NN Snakeskin TL Triple Star.

PaceStar is one of the three TripleStar compound combos. TripleStar is the overall label for the use of three compounds in one tire.

I was told the only change in the tires for Tubeless Ready is the bead. Same casing construction.
All of the '11 29" NNs are Snakeskin, TL and PaceStar, only change being the TL bead and new compound name.

All of the '11 Schwalbe 29ers are TL and PaceStar. All NN are Snakeskin. The RaRa 2.25 is available with Snakeskin as well as without. No other models use SS.

Interesting, I posted a few days ago about the 2010 NN VS the 2011 Verson both Snakeskin... the 2011 ones have a very different sidewall "feel", it feels much thicker than the 2010 snakeskin version... less pliable would be a start. I have not installed them so can't comment on them compared to the 2010 version quite yet...

I noticed little difference between the sidewalls of the new NN and the older RaRa SS. The latter has "softened" a bit with use. The new bead is stiffer and a much different shape.
