Will this kit work for my 2013 xcal? I keep trying to justify a new bike but my xcal is still working like a champ but I want a 1x11 groupset.

I have tools to remove the cassette and bottom bracket.

Your rear hub will accept 8-9-10 speed cogs or a 7-speed with a spacer. 11 and 12 are different.

It is my understanding that Shimano 11 speed cassettes do not need a special free hub to fit like SRAM XD.

So to answer the OP, that 11 speed group should fit on your bike.

Now I’m debating on whether or not I want to upgrade my xcaliber or get a Roscoe 8. I’m still not sure if I’m sold on a 27.5+.

I may even look for a standard 27.5 HT.

What sort of riding are you doing? The X-Cailber and Roscoe are different beasts.

If you're more XC/trail then stay with the X-Caliber. If you're riding trail/backcountry then the Roscoe will be the more fun bike.
