I looked in the forum and saw somthing about refurbishing, but could not tell if that had somethig to do with disc add on. The frame is in excellent shape and I am the original owner. I would like to update the fork and wheels (Marzocchi Super Fly fork, and WTB Lazer wheels currently. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Yes, a factory refurbish can add disc tabs; I just bought a used (refurbished) YBB that had the disc tabs added. *edit* Mine is a 2000.

I haven't done this myself, but I read or hear from another Moots owner in the past that you can pay Moots to add the disc brake tab and that they'll throw in the frame repolish/re-decal for no extra charge. Just call Moots to discuss, if they don't make this offer, mention it and see if they'll do it for you.

Thanks, for the tip. I'll do just that. I hope I can get the cool new badge instead of the old style decal.

They added the new badge with the disk mount/refurb to my 98 YBB in 2003. Didn't have to ask.

I think it was $250. Not sure, but I do remember feeling like I got away with something. Very reasonable.
