A friend of mine has a Killer V 900 from the mid to late 90's. I really think it's a 1995. The bike has a Pepperoni Fork with a 1 1/4" steerer tube. Will a standard headset fit on this bike or was head tube made extra large as well? If the head tube is larger can you just get a 1 1/4" to 1 1/8" reducer?

Good question- I'm getting a 93 Killer 900 w/ the same Pepperoni.

You have two options. There are reducer shims that you push into the frame, then press in the 1 1/8" head set of your choosing. Or, buy a Chris King Devolution, (nuthin' wrong with the best), which has a press diameter of 1 1/4" with a fork fit diameter of 1 1/8". Happy choosing!
