The proceeds of the auction go to a very good cause, too.
Wow, I just read his "accident report" - ouch!! That really sucks. I hope he makes a full recovery.

I expected several high bids. After reading that, I expect several more higher ones.

Steve is home now and in a wheelchair. A friend is with him helping to setup the frame shop so Steve can return to building.

I like his frames. Some friends here in Reno have some. The Filets are nice and they are super comfy and smooth, even for a 26er. I like his bent top tubes. I would encourage people to consider him as a builder for custom frames. He seems open to novel designs.

Can't believe he's even moving given the injury list. Split kidneys? Holy crap!

I wonder if I'm that tough. Hope I don't find out. You ever feel like there's a jacked-up waiting around the corner for you? I've had that feeling for a couple months now. Not sure how that's going to play out, but last time it happened I took a bad fall climbing. More psych damage than physical, but still...

Stever Garro; tough, smart, dumb, solid........

I have drank many a pitcher of the finest yellah at Alpine Pizza, with him over the last 13+ years. He's a tough MF'r. An amazing athlete, you have no idea of his bike handling skils.
Hate to sound brash and mean, but it was only a matter of time before he got into an accident. And it's so hard to believe that he is hurt so bad. He'll pull through, if not Denise WILL kick is arse. He has never had a car, does not know who to drive a car, never had a drivers license, grew up in the Indian Reservation outside of Tuba Az & speaks fluent Navajo.

I'll always love him like a brother.

The bidding is over $2000!

I see several mtbr (ir)regulars on the bidder list. Thanks for helping Steve and Denise.

They are having a big benefit for the Garros in Flagstaff on Saturday. I have supplied an '06 Cream Puff entry for the silent auction. Steve has been a big 'Puff supporter.
