Looking at going to 185mm on the front & was wondering what the differences between the Avid G2 Cleansweep & Roundagon rotors were? The RD. is $10 less; is the G2 worth that extra $10 or how about the '09 G2 which is same price as the RD.

I think the BB7 comes stock with the Roundagon so those I've used and have no compliants other than needing a little extra power.

Thanks for the help!

The G2s...

do resist heat build up better than the Roundagons. They also tend to be a bit quieter, are a bit lighter, and clear mud and such better. The sloted cuts in the braking surface of the G2s are designed to pull mud and debris down and out of the caliper area. The G2s do give a bit better bite as well. Nothing earth shattering, but noticeable. If you aren't having problems with the RD's just run with them. I run G2s primarily for their resistance to heat fade, that's their biggest advantage. If you want to upgrade go for it. They are a noticeable upgrade over the Roundagons. But it ain't like they'll change your world. They'r worth the extra $. Just don't expect miricales!
