Heading to Fruita / GJ next weekend 5/3-5/5. Just realized it's the same weekend as Fruita Fat Tire Festival. What are the odds of finding a camping spot at 18 Road if we show up Friday afternoon?

Absolutely ZERO to be honest. It will be probably be full on Wednesday at the latest...or it used to be. I'm sure it's even worse now that they are running the demo's out of 18 Rd vs downtown.

Yeah, kinda what I was thinking. Decided to just book a reservable camp spot at The Camp in GJ. Not ideal, but close to Lunch Loops! Last time I plan a trip without checking out what events are going on. Duh.

Last year I could have camped in the parking lot if I wanted. What makes you all think it's going to be full? I had no problem parking last year. Tons of desert out there.
