NB, talking NZD below... 1/2 price to convert to USD.
I'm 240lb's all kitted up to ride. I prefer AM riding, pretty gnarly and I'll get mid sized air when it's available.
Fork will go on a '17 Nukeproof Scout 29er AM HT. Rated for 120-140mm travel.
Both forks are Boost which is what I'm after so I can run wider rubber i.e. 2.6-2.8.
I can likely get the Pike set to my preferred 140mm for $1145.
The RXF 36 is around $1100. It's currently set at 160mm. Research shows it's travel is internally adjustable. Which is another cost to consider.
I'm use to running Yari forks, so tuning the Pike will be a cinch.
From reading about the RXF 36, it sounds tricky to set up just right.
The colour way of the Ohlins almost matches my frame. So that's a plus.
The ease of set & forget with the Pike also appeals.
The Pike will have backing of a local LBS.
Whilst the RXF is a private sale, so no after market support.
Not sure which way to go o_0
Which fork should I buy?
PS - apparently the Ohlins went through the recall process/fix before getting onto the showroom floor & being sold attached to a '18 Enduro Elite...
PSS - Never ridden according to seller.
'Born to ride!'
