I am in the process of checking and replacing my bearings on my ’18 Trek Fuel EX 9.9. I was able to remove all the aluminum hardware and get to the bearings except for the main pivot bolt. For the main pivot I was able to remove the nut, but the screw just turns. I tried to remove the screw by inserting a 6mm hex key on the side of the nut and pressing it out with a mallet. Pounding with the mallet, I used as much force I was willing to with a carbon frame (it was a lot), but the main pivot screw didn’t even budge.

Are there any tips for removing this main pivot screw?
