I'm working on building up my Sir 9, and have discovered that the Magura Marta's that I had planned to use on it won't fit on the White Bros. Magic 29 1.0 fork (TA). Before I try anything else out, can I get any input on what is fitting successfully? I would like to stick with 160mm brakes, if possible..

Have you exhausted all adaptor options?

WB Adaptors

I'm going to try contacting White Bros. today to see if they have any adaptors. The problem is that since there isn't much relief between the two IS mounting holes, the caliper has about 1/8" of interference with the metal between the mounting holes. It seems like any adaptor would have to move the caliper further out and require a bigger rotor?

Don't contact WB, contact Magura about mounting options.

I've used Hayes hydros on a WB TA fork with 6" rotors. But the Hayes/Magura mounting methods are pretty different.

Hope Mono Mini's fit, I never tried Juicy Carbons though, but that's what I'd fit if I were you, just got a set for my bike and they are amazing!

do you have the thru-axle or QR version? I've double checked.. I didn't imagine it, they won't fit.. Could you take a picture of the mounting tabs on yours?

(I mounted the front on my Fox to replace my failing avid mechanical, and it goes on there great..

sorry, I didn't realize that the (TA) meant through axle. I have the quick release.

Fork picture

Here's a poor picture of the fork's brake mounting holes.. I believe this is different from the QR version. Magura has responded requesting a picture, I'll let everyone know what they say...
