I made a 142 to 135 converter around a year ago............

For a Sram X0 hub

That was based on to go inside the hub axle ( the axle that the thru axle goes through )

Imean the weght and force was transfered inside the hubs axle

But this time i want to design & machine another adpeter thats externally based imean that goes on and out the axle.......

The part that the axle sits in it is about 8 to 9 mm deep i mean this adapter sits on the axle ( * again this axle im talking about is not the thue axle its the main axle of the hub that the thru axle goes into and inside of it ...)

The factory set 142 hub has some bushings thats like this that goes out and on the axle but ....they dont bear any weight & force .......

Ill take more detailed pix from the part of the axle that sticks out of the hub and the original bushing of the hub its self tomorrow ....

But do you think this type would bear the weight ? and stand still ?

Ill tell the machine work shop to machine it from steel and not from Alu.....to be more sure and determined......

Whats your opinions ?

ThanX.....

Not sure as I have not used those hubs before - are you replacing the existing endcap with one that is 7mm narrower to fit into a 135 frame?

If appreciate the ingenuity you have overcoming the limited supply you have at your disposal. Keep us posted how it turns out.

Exactly.................the new end caps would come over the hubs shaft

First update :
The machine workshop messed it...........the part that the little O-rings fall into place....was not good enuogh to satisfy [email protected] first the O-rng wouldnt fit properly inside the its groove that the day after i went to the machine workshop & told the guy to deepen it a little bit.......but the stupid guy widened it.................
And said test it to see whether its good now ......................and i said.......................perfect................with my mouth and said.................F**** you im never coming here again with telepathy ...............

It had a little wobble in place and thought maybe that wouble would develop to the whole wheel not being secure.........

Then i sent it to another machine work shop whom i had experience with his work but is in another city...........

The first guy charged me 20 US bucks for the pair he had made...................dont know how much do they take for a similar work in the states.......But 20 Bucks here is like 12 percent of a minimum wage ....

For got to menition the first one had made the end extrusion of the part with a 11.5 mm diameter

Wheel Automotive tire Tire Audio equipment Circle

eventhough i had clearly gave the dimensions to him in a plan
