Iam about to put a Fat tire setup on the front of my 29er epic 2010, I already ride it with a steel front fork I hated the reba. Whats the biggest difference besides width from the 100mm wheel to the 135mm plus and minuses.I know its going to be my fist hit of the Fat bike crack then i will probaly be a full Fat head. Iam so glad i found this forum iam always on the 29er forum thanks for any tips.

With 135 there's no hassle removing or inserting the wheel with a disk brake.

You can only run SON dynamo hubs with 100mm dropouts... if that's even a concern to you.

I think Drew meant that SON hubs are only available in 100 mm- not that they are the only 100 mm hub that will work. Any 100 mm front hub will work. The brake caliper definitely has to come off for wheel removal if you're using 100 mm rims.
