My beloved Wednesday gave up the ghost with a cracked drive-side chain stay. While my shop looks into a warranty replacement or just a paid replacement frame I am exploring my options with other frames. The small rear spacing makes parts swapping difficult. I don't want to re-lace my fat and plus wheelsets so I am looking to see what if anything is available with the same rear spacing and a 100mm threaded BB.

To further muddy the waters I have been looking to get a full suspension bike, just not right now so all my funding is not yet in place. If needs be I can push up the timetable. This has made me think about the Fatilac as a new one bike solution. The problem with that is I would need to find a new fork as well, and that will be an issue. I am running a 100mm Mastodon pro now and finding a new 120mm looks tough at the moment. I also like the idea of a fat bike/hardtail AND a short/medium travel play bike . Redundancy and options.

Are there any other 177mm rear frames out in the world? I am not totally against a custom steel frame either, which may be needed. Downside there, and really is a risk everywhere is this winter, or at least part of it, may be off the ride-table while I source the frame. The goal is to re-Wednesday, maybe even in glorious purple, but at this point I don't know what realistic options are out there so I am just starting with hypotheticals.

Thanks all. The stock REEB fat frame fits the bill as well, but is almost as much as the Fatillac. The Otso is a press-fit BB unfortunately, and can only be bought with cranks and a fork which pushes the price way up as well. On the good side, these are options for sure.

I also broke a drive side chainstay, apparently I was the first one a couple of years ago. Surly replaced it under warranty, and totally ruined my color scheme...
Well if I ever finish putting the new grape color one together, I will keep an eye on it. I probably don't ride hard enough to do anything, but it is good to know about.

Its a 2019 Sweatshirt. The crack is right on the yoke, exactly where the flex/impact is happening. Even if a weld would be possible I would think anything structurally sound enough to ride would stiffen up the frame too much. This was my 4 season trail bike so it saw use but I am in Chicagoland so all of that use was decidedly in the trail category at most and XC for the most part.

@Mk3Rider I can see my legs spread a bit when pedaling but have never felt any issues. The good news is when I replaced my cranks earlier this year there were no 170m spindle kits available so I had to buy a standard kit and the 170mm spindle separately. So I already have the spindle for the thinner BB. Huzzah?

Thanks for the help all. I am still waiting to hear if I need to explore other brands.
