Less than two weeks until my very first foray into the world of solo endurance "racing". I'll be on the SS natch. Been doing a weekly training ride of about 20 miles and this Thursday I plan on doubling up on the training ride to see how my legs feel after 40.

Am I ready? Probably not.

Will I finish? Health Yes!

Will it be fun? Ask me about a week after the event. :D

I hope to participate in the solo SS catagory at the 24 Hours In The Old Pueblo in Tucson this coming Feb so this race will be some good education for me.

Even though the 12 Hr. of WillPass is happening in my backyard, I won't be there. But just about every other Disciple of Dirt will be there. Big DOD pit! I'm sure every DOD involved would tell me to encourage you to stop by to say "howdy" and snag a beer or something. Tell 'em Sparty sent ya.

Have fun!

See you at BC or HC or ??

Heck, Kevin,. Don't just stop by the DOD pit, be part of the DOD pit! We are going to have 4-5 canopies set up, tables, drink coolers with iced water and GU2O, repair stands, carpet. 3-5 teams and several solos - including me. Bring your own food, seating, non-race drink, etc.

BTW 36 x 20 should work well. It may be a bit stiff for the climb but it will be great for the rolly, rippin' singletrack descent. I plan on using a 38 x 21.
