Yessss, a 29'er

I'm looking for a team as well, whether or not my GF Rig arrives. It was ordered weeks ago and I was hoping to receive it by raceday. In the meantime my trusty '26'er' will suffice. I've been training moderately in the past few weeks so I feel good about this race (my first time entering). Let me know buddy if you still need a rider. Merry Christmas,
Jef

Hope you like fist sized rocks and back breaking roots! That place sucks to do a sport length race. Much less ride it for 12 hours!

Better would be the 12 hours of Reddick Feb 18th. Better location, cheaper hotels. Reddick trails are clay, not sand like Oleta. I have race Oltea a few times. I don't care
how big your wheels are, if your not riding a Allmountain or downhill bike, your going to get
beatup!

Hi Mondo-

I know riders who think like you, however.....

I've been riding Oleta for 8 years now and been involved with maintenance for nearly as long, as the first park open post wilma, I like Redick and Santos, Bomboyette, but they are 4 hours away. Quiet Waters might never recover and Markham is months away from opening.

Yes Oleta has roots and rocks. Oleta also has the longest, most challenging trails in S Florida, but don't take my word for it, check the reviews here on MTBR...

Oh yea, you can kayak and sunbathe there too.

Hope your rig shows up, love to have you on the team, hit me at

I have raced there many times over the years. It is a fun place to ride / race. I raced a rigid
26er SS there. Place beats the tar out of ya! Still a very cool place. Nice jumping area, cool
flowing berms. Bugs the size of King Kong after dark!

Water, Sun, Babes! Ale House just acrossed the street, South Beach just down the road,
did i say anything about hot girls!
