Stock is a 11-32t and I was going to go 11-34t but thought the 12-36 would be better suited for the 29er with a 9sp .Anyone running this? Opinions?

It could possibly overstress the pawls in the cassette hub. YMMV.

Thanks. Also I don't know if the extra weight (about 120 grams) is worth it versus an 11-34 XT cassette. It would be nice to have a 36t but then again I like the 11t. 11-34t may be a good happy medium.

Changed to a 11-34 on my Pro SL and it a very good compromise, 12-36 might be the right choise if doing a lot of steep climbs.
