If I swap my cassette to an 11-36 from an 11-34 will I have to make derailleur adjustments for proper shifting? If so whats the best way to make the adjustment...besides going to my LBS.
If it's the same brand, likely not much will change. Maybe a small twist on the b-screw.
If it's a different brand, you might need to adjust the limits and tension as well. I would match the two cassettes at all cost, it'll make things a lot easier. Shimano XT has both ranges.
There both Shimano XT's. I have an 11-36 on one bike and an 11-34 on my XC bike. I have a long race in a few weeks and wanted to swap to give myself a little more spin on the climbs
Any time you change a cassette you may have to make a small adjustment to the derailleur - even the same size cassette.
Only takes a moment and a ride around the block.
