Does anyone on the board have a GT Peace 9er with a 100mm fork?

I am interested im a brand new Dart 3 for around $150. Seem like a good upgrade? Or should I get a used reba for $200?

Does anyone sell the Dart 3 retail?

Dart 3 29er is not sold retail

...but thats not a bad thing since you are better off with pretty much any other 29er suspension fork you can find. A good condition used Reba can be had at a good price and is actually worth your money. Tora are also good, just heavier than the Reba

Also I don't believe the Peace is suspension corrected, which means that you wouldn't want to use anything longer than an 80mm fork

I have Peace 9r and have been running it with a 100mm White Brothers Magic fork for a couple of years. It has been fine for me. The Peace is corrected for 80mm, but with the sag set on the 100mm, it handles fine. My frame is a medium size. I wouldn't do it with a small frame though.

X2 and Dart only takes max 6" (160mm) brake rotor. ...and better than some, but not a cushy riding fork....

That doesn't mean you can buy it aftermarket though. You can buy the 26" Dart 3 aftermarket, but not the 29er yet

Yeah, 08 Rebas can be had really cheap right now. The difference is huge in every way (for the better), and that's not often something we can readily admit when it comes to upgrading components on a bike.

Also keep in mind it's said that Toras are a better choice than Rebas if you're a heavier (Clydesdale style) rider.More heavy duty.

Thats how much my Tora 29er weighs as well, but I still think it is a great fork and you will find many others here that share this opinion.

The weight isn't a huge problem... just the fact that its a Dart
