ok so im gonna go over to a single chain ring up front on my yeti asx.... is there any reason i cant just remove the inner/outter chainring and leave the derailer in place ??? thats pretty much how i ride it anyways but just wondering.... :thumbsup:

no reason at all if you remove the shifter and cable you will obviosly need to adjust the limit screws to centre it over the chainring it will also help keep your chain on

i tried that and the chain kept coming off this has worked the best for me. and its cheep pick up at price point for around 10 bucks that and a bash guard and it never falls off.

I did say it will help keep the chain on not completly stop it comeing off
