Hi, I have an early 90's GT Karakoram Elite, rigid. Was wanting to upgrade to front suspention. I see 1" forks occasionally on ebay, and checked out the link at top of this forum. Only problem is, I don't know squat about forks of the era. Can anybody recomend a descent set of forks from then?? I'm not particularly concerned with brand. However, I would like to stay away from anything requiring U brakes. My fronts are currently canti's and the last ubrakes I bought, for the back, were spendy.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money...I'm sure you can find a 1" Quadra.

1" Mag20 and Mag21's are out there but get more expensive.

Then you move to 1" Judys....and on up to 1" SID's or Zucchis and the top of the dollar list.

How much do you want to spend?

I have a few 1" crowns for old Manitou and Rock Shox forks. I can build you one that will be just like new, suited to your height, weight and riding style.

PM me with the size of your frame and your vitals if you're interested.

I guess that goes for the rest of you guys, too...

I also have some old 1 1/4 stuff as well...
