vanilla vs talas

I've been considering changing to the 07 talas. When deciding between fox vanilla and fox talas on my recent new bike purchase i went with vanilla as i thought it to be more plush and i didn't like how much twisting it took on the 06 talas to make travel adj. Now I'm missing the travel adj for long climbs that I had on my old bike (manitou black with travel adj), then the 07 talas came out and sounds so easy, 3 positions with an easy 90 degree turn of the knob is perfect.

My question for anyone out there who has ridden both vanilla and talas is how much differenc e in plushness is there betweeen a vanilla and talas?

2007 fox forks

I was hoping that Fox will come out with a handle bar adjustment lever that you don't need to stop anymore and change the amount of travel. For a big company like Fox, they should come up with that kind of handlebar adjustment. That will be sweet.

unless i am missing something there is no need to stop to adjust travel, I can easily reach the top of the left leg to adj

I have both a Vanilla and a TALAS and I have concluded that I like the TALAS better than the Vanilla. I really wanted to like the Vanilla cuz I've always been a coil spring fan. But the Fox air forks have changed my mind. You can make it more plush or less plush by controlling the air volume. You can't do that with coil springs.

Plushness and adjustability go to the TALAS. Stiffness is equal between them.

I've never had a problem with turning knobs to change fork travel. But the new 3-way selector does make it that much easier.
