Yes, here's another "Here's my BR!" post...

My backordered frame finally arrived last Friday, picked up the last couple of parts on Tues, then went out for the 1st test ride on Wed - sweet!

Since my "raw/small" frame came in the same batch as the new '08 Baby Blue ones, is my "raw" frame considered as an '08, too...? :skep:
Also, starting with this batch, the "raw" comes clear-coated now (so I guess it wasn't before?), per folks at Transition, just FYI.

Anyway, below are some pic's.

My "small/raw" frame (including a drlr hanger, 2 shock-mounting bolts, 11 plastic cable-guide pieces) read "8lbs 3oz" on the scale. Everything put together read "41lbs 12oz" on the scale.

As for parts, nothing fancy - just moved everything from my old bike (broken). Actually, there's one tiny thing that's fancy - the TBC bar-end caps! ;) Maybe I'll pick up Juicy 7's later on (no rush).

Cheers,
- PiroChu

Some more pic's...

And here are some more pic's...

Very excited!! Now I gotta go ride (& tinker with the rear shock a bit) and have fun!

Cheers,
- PiroChu

PS.
For fully-extended seatpost for climbing, I'm only 4mm above the "minimum insert" line. Before purchasing a BR, I knew I'd just clear it, but that was kinda close... ;)

which reducer did you pick at the end??
ban,
Thanks for asking. After some thoughts per my other post about a headset earlier, I ended up getting a FSA Orbit Z 1.5R after all.

I got the cups pressed in at a reputable LBS, and they faced/reamed the headtube in the process, too, which was nice because my "raw" came clear-coated. They said lots of coat came out of the headtube.

Cheers,

Do your fork knobs clear the downtube with the zero stack HS?
Hi .Danno., I just went to measure mine. My fork ('05 Marz Z1 FR1) has taller knobs (than HAB's 36), but the distance at the closest point between downtube & knob still has about 5/8" of clearance.

Hi freeryder, thanks for your info on "no clear-coat for ~'07/raw". I guess I can consider my "raw / clear-coated" as an '08 then. :)

Can't really make out the scale, what is the weight?
Hi MattP., yes, I know, it's hard to make out the digits in the pic. It reads 8lbs 3oz, and please note that this figure is for a "small/raw" frame including a drlr hanger & 2 shock-mounting bolts & 11 plastic cable-guide pieces, per my original post. The Transition website says "8lbs 1oz" (probably without the little pieces I measured mine with), so it's pretty much dead-on.

Very nice! Appreciate the explanation!

Freeryder, where did you get that saddle ? Is it an SDG ?

Hey, you know what sounds deadly on a BR for 08 ? Marzocchi 55 & Roco TST Air. Smooth and light.
The 55 is a Z1/66 hybrid (perfect). I wonder if the Roco air is user servicable ?
& U gotta love that raw is being sold as "works"
