'06 RIG with canti mounts?????

Looking through the '06 fisher brochure.

The picture of the Rig shows the frame with canti mounts and cable guides down the right side seat stay. Is this just an error on the showbike or is this really how they will be coming?

I'm thinking about gettin a new Rig. It may sound nit picky but I don't want canti mounts on a frame that's never going to get canti's. The fork doesn't even show canti mounts!

Anybody get one yet?

Any differences between the '05 and '06?

yes, they have canti mounts on the frame.

I remember the cable guides on the show bike, but I have not noticed them on the production ones. I will check later today though.

mine is an 06' and it does indeed have rear canti mounts... doesn't affect me one bit. i have never noticed them while carvin' singletrack. i'll really try to pay more attention next ride though...
The 06 does have canti mounts.
I was just checking the '05 out at the shop. It doesn't have the cable guides but does have the canti bosses.

I then realized (duh) that the wheels are disk specific as well.

So why is Fisher welding canti bosses on?
I wish they had put them on the Paragons too. I traded a frame, not realizing that it was disc-only, thought I had read it before, just forgotten.
Maybe they're there because they always had the plan to sell the Rig as frameset? In the very beginning, with an aluminum rigid fork that just didn't happen.
I think to offer flexibility if they decided to sell the Rig as a frame only. Cruising through the various pic posts here on mtbr, I notice many 29er single speed bikes with v-brakes.

according to my rep the rig frameset will be available as soon as they are finished perfecting the fork. the switchblade forks are supposed to be available some time in january.
