I am looking at picking up a new bike to replace my hardtail and have narrowed my search to the 2006 enduro expert or a 2007 stmupjumper comp. I am 5'9" 160 without any gear. This will be my only bike so I need it to be able to do some rougher terrain (nothing in the downhill category) but mostly more trail and XC riding. I know the stumpy would be better in the latter and is about 4 pounds lighter but the enduro should be able to take moe abuse. I am just worried about the chainstay/rear traingle with the enduro. I know the newer 08 have a symmetrical design and this part can be replaced for around 250. I have also heard complaints about with the shox of the enduro, mainly the rear DHX. I have also thought about trying to get my hands on a 07 or newer SX trail.

Any advice? Thanks in advance
