Got some of the new 05' Fox forks in today, nice stuff! Ealier release than Fox has done in the past. They've dropped some weight, and are finally offering the disc-only version aftermarket in some models. Dropouts are beefier, up to 203mm rotors without voiding the warranty. No more RL models, only R or RLC.
Vanilla R 130 = 1842g (4.05lbs)
Vanilla RLC = 1884g (4.15lbs)
Float R 130 = 1680 (3.7lbs)
Float RLC 130 = 1720 (3.78lbs)
F100RLT = 1634g (3.59lbs)

Sweet, my 05 Vanilla should come to our shop on Monday since I ordered it thursday with 3 day shipping. I can't wait to put that thing on my bike. I'm gonna do an Irish jig when ol' Bob the UPS man shows up.

Nice! Is it possible to get '05 RLC/RLT damping assembly for upgrading '04 fork? Cost? Me thinks that if F100x damping is ~150$, then RLC should have lower price?

Thanks.

are there any 100mm floats r/rlt's?

just wondering - b/c i've been waiting for a 100mm - but if they are close in ride height maybe the 130 wouldn't be a bad idea. Also, is there a propedal setting on the rlc - i read something about that being added.

I think that they just tweaked the low speed compression adjustment range on the RLCs to where you can get a "Propedal Like Setting" by adjusting the compression.

I had a Fox F100X on my last bike and really loved it. I now have a Intense 5point5 and after much debate decided on a Manitou Minute due to the stable platform. However I have been a Fox fan for as long as they have been making forks and I must say that the Float RLC 130 looks interesting. I seriously considered a TALAS but after reading the thread on the Intense site about controlls on the top of forks hitting frames, I'm kind of glad I didn't go for the TALAS.

Do you know if there is any change to the top of the forks to prevent this situation on new models?

Ronnie.

Is the F100X available bossless?

I am looking at getting a 100X, but want is bossless. Is Fox making them?

Doesn't look like it unfortunately. My price list is only showing the standard lowers version.

The Float R and RLC can be reduced to 100mm, spacer for doing that is included. Not really a "ProPedal" setting on the RLC, but it does sound like they increased the range on the compression damping adjustment.

don't know about the f100x but a call to fox is very easy...

I've called them a number of times. As I know it now the F100 rlt does not come bossless aftermarket only OEM which sucks. Fox is stupid for this. Who on earth would make a lightweight crosscountry fork that doesn't come bossless?? Magura Marta SL's weigh less than XTR Vbrakes - --- what's the deal. They hope they'll make them next year they say. hoopty. I had to order them with bosses unless I wanted to pick-up an OEM version from someone that may or may not be covered by their warranty. SUCKS.
