I was wondering how 130mm effects handling. Thinking of getting 130 talas to replace 100mm Black Comp. Thank You.
Talas is a great option for the Flux.
I generally don't raise it up to often though. It does slow the handling a bit but not bad.
It seems really good 100-115 and I'm too lazy to crank it up.Fox needs a faster system for raising and lowering.
The Talas is a much better fork than the black,I would do it.

The Solution

Get a Fox Vanilla. Likely, you will prefer the 105mm setting. But, if you decide to go big you can at 130mm. The Talas does not ride as nice as a Vanilla with the correctly sized spring for your weight.

Cheers,

I rode my Flux with a Talas for a couple of days, then sold it for a 100x and haven't looked back.

I think the Talas is a great fork and use to riun one on a 5-Spot, but it just didn't feel right fully open, and I got fed up with trying to count clicks to get it to the optimal setting. Then I started wondering why I was carrying the weight of a 130mm fork that I couldn't open up.

100mm is better IMHO, I would look for a 100x or Float RLT.

personnaly i've got à 130mm float r reduced to 100mm on my flux. it's less expensive than a talas but work as good. the fact is that you rarely use the rising/lowering system of the talas during the ride, so i d'on't think it's very usefull.
for me the best buy to put on a flux (regarding to the price of those forks) is the vanilla r or the float r (both reduced to 100mm).
