I am riding a 2004 130mm Z1 FR with standard dropouts (which i love). I am concidering a 2005 Z1 FR3 with 150mm as a replacement. I do not use the ETA ever. Would I notice the change in dampening from HSCV to SSV? I am 155 lbs. and am more interested in the switch to 2005 style 20mm axle than the extra 20mm travel. What do you think...

The difference between the fork carts are dramatically different. As soon as you go fast the HSCV cart is really going to come alive. The FR3 will not be able to handle high speed hits well. That said, you would love the FR3 if you never rode on a fork with carts like HSCV before.

If I were you I would just spend the ~$125 from Marzocchi direct and change the lowers yourself. If you are unsure then any good shop can do it in thier sleep. The new lowers will have the bushings in them and should have the seals if I am not mistaken. (I would ask Marzocchi if you call.) Your fork prolly needs a oil change anyway.
